Services for William Farnberg, age 94 of Blair who died at his home October 12, 1991 will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 15 at First Lutheran Church with Rev. J. David Nelson officiating. Graveside services will be in the Blair Cemetery.

William M. Farnberg was born on October 8, 1897 at Blair, Nebraska. He graduated from Blair High School and later owned and operated the Farnberg Plumbing and Heating Store. He also operated the old Blair Bowling Lanes.

He served on the Blair City Council, and was Blair’s first city administrator. He served on the fire department for many years, was a past master of the Blair Masonic Lodge and member of the Tangier Shrine. He married Emma Monson May 3, 1921 in Kennard, Nebraska.

He was preceded in death by sisters, Lillian and Clara and brothers Louis, Carl and John. He is survived by his wife, Emma, son James of Blair; four grandchildren, Jo Lynn Wambolt, James Jr., Erica and Noah and three great-grandchildren. Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
