WM. JOHN TIETGEN, FORMER BLAIRITE, DIED IN SO. DAK.

Wm. John Tietgen passed away Dec. 1 at his home near Burke, S. K. He was born near Blair on August 28, 1897, and was 66 years of age. He lived in Washington County until moving to Burke, S. D. in 1921.

On June 14, 1929 he was married to La Verna Glick. They were the parents of two children, Robert and Marilyn. Ten grandchildren also survive.

Other survivors are six brothers and three sisters: Henry Tietgen of Fort Calhoun, Hans of Naper, Nebraska, Chris of Wayne, Albert and Ben of Herrick, South Dakota, Otto of St. Charles, South Dakota; Mrs. Amanda Svogerson of Kennard, Mrs. Meta Kracht of Wheaton, Minnesota and Mrs. Emma Overseth of Santa Monica, California.

Funeral services were held in Burke, South Dakota December 4th.
