CATHARINE A. (HAWKINS) TIETZ, 62

Catharine A. Tietz, 62, of Omaha, died Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2005, in Omaha.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m . and a prayer service at 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at Fort Calhoun Baptist Church. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemtery in Omaha.

Catharine A. (Hawkins) Tietz was born Jan. 16, 1943, in Fort Calhoun to Wilbert and Ellen Hawkins. On Jan. 26, 1964, she married Richard Tietz in Fort Calhoun.

Mrs. Tietz was a member of the Washington County Historical Society.

She is survived by her husband, Richard; daughters and sons-in-law, Theresa and Ray Waters of Stratford, Iowa; Melissa and War Ruge of Syracuse; sons and daughter-in-law, Eugene and Jamie Tietz of Fort Calhoun and David Tietz of Columbus, Mo.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Bill Boyd of Blair, Sue Newman of Fort Calhoun; stepbrother and wife, Bill and Linda Kanaley of Omaha; father-in-law, Lawrence Tietz of Omaha.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Wilbert Paul Hawkins.
