LAWRENCE A. TIETZ, 86

Lawrence A. Tietz, 86, of Omaha, died Sunday, April 3, 2005, in Fort Calhoun.

Funeral services were Thursday, April 7, at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church. Interment was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Lawrence A. Tietz, 86, was born July 31, 1918 in Douglas County. He lived in the Nashville area most of his life.

On June 14, 1940, he was united in marriage with his wife, Marion. He was a member of the Independent Order of the Odd Fellows, and Solomon Lodge No. 10 AF & AM of Fort Calhoun.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Lawrence A. Jr. and Donna Tietz, and Richard A. Tietz; sister, Margaret Fix, all of Omaha; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Marion; a daughter-in-law, Catharine Tietz; and a sister, Myrtle Wolf.

Memorials are suggested to the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church or the Fort Calhoun Rescue Squad.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
