HERMAN TILLWICK, 101

Herman Tillwick, 101, formerly of Omaha, whose daughter lives in Blair, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, at a care home in Logan, Iowa.

Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Cross Lutheran Church, 3101 S. 20th St., Omaha.

Burial will be in West Lawn Hillcrest Cemetery, 5701 Center St.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Heafey Heafey Hoffmann and Dworak Funeral Home, 2466 S. 16th St., Omaha. Visitation with the family will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Herman Tillwick was born in Hamburg, Germany, and came to the United States at the age of 14.

He lived in Omaha for most of his life. He worked as a civil engineer for Kilpatrick Building. He worked for the Express Company and for the Omaha World-Herald.

He had lived in a care home in Logan, Iowa, for the past six years.

He is survived by one daughter, Berniece Sheets of Blair; one son, Raymond Tillwick of Omaha; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Emma; his parents; and one brother, Fred Tillwick.
