Fred Muller Died At Good Shepherd Home Monday

Fred Ferdinand Muller, long-time resident of the rural area north of Blair, died Monday at the Good Shepherd Home. He had farmed north of the Goll school for a time and also at another location east of Herman.

He was born December 27, 1890 at New York City and was 80 years of age at the time of his death. He came to this area at an early age and engaged in farming.

Mr. Muller was a member of the Armed Forces during World War I and he received the Purple Heart in recognition of injuries sustained in action.

He is survived by his wife who lives at Parkview Manor in Blair.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children. A son, Leland Muller lives at Tekamah and a son Melvin Muller resides in Omaha. A daughter, Mrs. Marilyn DeWitt also lives in Omaha. There are ten grandchildren. He has no brothers or sisters.

Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, September 23 at the First Baptist Church in Tekamah. The Rev. Dudley Carter will conduct the service and burial will be made in the Tekamah cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary of Blair.

Pall bearers will be Ronald and Rodney Therkelsen and William, James, Ronald and Lyle Anderson.
