Gretchen M. Mueller, 86

Gretchen M. Mueller, 86, of Hooper, died April 22, 2001, in the Hooper Care Center.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 26, at Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Hooper (east of Winslow), with the Rev. Rodney Maske officiating. Interment will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Gretchen M. Mueller was born March 25, 1915 on the family farm north of Winslow to Charles and Pauline (Wittman) Busch. She grew up in that area.

On Aug. 27, 1939, she married Wilbert L. Mueller in the Immanuel Lutheran Church east of Winslow. They farmed in the area for 44 years before moving into Hooper in 1983.

Mrs. Mueller was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Sally Mueller of Loveland, Colo., two daughters and a son-in-law, Joan and Richard Schurman of Nickerson and Eunice “Uni” Hoefner of Fremont, seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, and by a brother, LaVerne Busch.

Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the donor’s choice.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
