Hilda A. Mueller, 96, of Blair, died Monday, June 25, 2007, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard. A family gathering will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.

Hilda A. Schumacher was born Nov. 17, 1910, at Kennard to August and Lena (Boock) Schumacher. She was baptized on May 24, 1916, and confirmed May 15, 1927. She attended the LaCrone School.

On March 11, 1931, she married Arthur M. Mueller. After their marriage, they moved to the family homestead farm southeast of Kennard, which has been in the family for over 100 years, and farmed until moving to Blair in 1975. Mrs. Mueller was the senior member at Emmaus Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her daughter Ardith Pounds of Blair; and son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Linda Mueller of Yukon, Okla.; grandchildren, Jim and Judy Pounds, Jon and Kathy Pounds, Robert Pounds, Pat and Rick Wiese and Ann and Tim Miller, all of Blair, Michael Mueller of Clarksville, In., and Susan and Wade Hampton of Holiday Island, Ark.; numerous great-and great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Harry Andreasen and sister-in-law, Hattie Andreasen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; great-grandchild, Michael Pounds; son-in-law, James Pounds; four brothers, Otto, August, Walter and Christian Schumacher; and four sisters, Christina Stender, Eva Wrigg, Sophie Wrigg and Margaret Andreasen.

Memorials may be directed to Memorial Community Hospital, Emmaus Lutheran Church or the German Cemetery.
