Mark Stottler, 54

Mark Stottler, 54, of Tekamah, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, at his home.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bloomfield with the Rev. Tim Koester officiating. Burial of cremains will be at a later date. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the church with a 7 p.m. prayer service.

Brockhaus Funeral Home of Bloomfield is in charge of arrangements.

Mark GlenDel Stottler was born Sept. 26, 1959, in Nora Springs, Iowa, to Glen and Marge Stottler. Mark was baptized in November of 1959 at the Congregational Church in Princeton, Minn.

He attended schools in Hickman and Blair and graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1978.

Mark was confirmed on May 18, 1975, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.

He was blessed with two children, Erin and Adam, from a previous marriage.

Mark had been employed by Great Plains Communications of Blair for 33 years and was manager of CATV/Broadband Engineering. He was past president of SCTE Cable Association. Mark loved the outdoors, especially when he was golfing, fishing, or hunting.

Mark is survived by his children: Erin (Jeff) Eickhoff of Albion and Adam (Courtney) Stottler of Alma; three grandchildren: Evan and Reagan Eickhoff and Jaxton Stottler; his mother, Marge Stottler of Bloomfield; brother Kory (Lori) Stottler of Greenville, Ala.; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Stottler, in 2009; and his grandparents.
