LAWRENCE E. TIMM, 65

Lawrence E. Timm, 65, of Hooper, died Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2000, at his home.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at Elim Lutheran Church in Swaburg. The Rev. Betty Lou Hadley will officiate. Interment will be at the Elim Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 22 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.

Lawrence E. Timm was born Aug. 22, 1935 in Telbasta to Paul and Emma (Lambrecht) Timm. He grew up and lived and farmed in the Telbasta area until moving to rural Hooper in 1965, where he farmed.

On April 12, 1964, he married Lois Keller at Elim Lutheran Church.

Mr. Timm raised Dutch Belt cattle. He enjoyed mechanic work on his farm machinery and trucks, and liked to hunt and fish, and loved playing with his grandchildren.

Mr. Timm was a member of Elim Lutheran Church at Swaburg, and was a past church board member. He was a former Dodge County 4-H Council member, and was a 4-H leader for 23 years.

He is survived by his wife, Lois; son and daughter-in-law, Lauren and Jayana Timm of Hooper; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Kathy Timm of West Point; Franklin and Elaine Timm and August and Barbara Timm, all of Nickerson; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary Ann Hetrick, and Alice and Alfred Clausen, all of Fremont; Irene Kuddes of Lincoln; and Lois and Dana Palmer of Hooper; a sister-in-law, June Timm of Nickerson; brother-in-law, Francis Miller of Hooper; two grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles and Harold Timm, and two sisters, Grace Beadman and Darlene Miller.

Memorials are suggested to Elim Lutheran Church, Swaburg; Winslow Rescue Squad; or Dodge County 4-H Council.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
