Arlington native Paul “Pete” Timm Jr. of West Point, died Sept. 14, 2004, at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at Trinity Church in West Point, with graveside services at 2 p.m. at the Arlington Cemetery.

Paul Timm Jr. was born Aug. 25, 1927, in Arlington to Paul and Emma (Lambrecht) Timm St. He attended schools at Telbasta and Fontanelle.

On May 4, 1947, he married Kathryn Hofeldt at Salem Lutheran Church of Fontanelle. The couple farmed near Arlington until moving to their current farm south of West Point in 1973.

He was a frequent vendor at Omaha and Fremont farmer’s markets where he was well known for his homegrown produce. He enjoyed participating in tractor pulls; was an avid hunter and fisherman; but his passion was his family and supporting them in all their endeavors.

He was a member of Trinity Church in West Point.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn; son, Steve Timm of West Point; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Tom Cady of Blair; Debbie and Al Larsen and Pam Timm, all of Omaha; LuAnn and Ray Burgess of The Woodlands, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, August and Barbara Timm and Frank and Elaine Timm, all of Nickerson; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Ann Hetrick and Alice Clausen, both of Fremont; and Lois and Dana Palmer of Hooper; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters, and two grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Church or the Cuming County Fair Foundation.

Stalp-Stokely Funeral Home in West Point is in charge of arrangements.
