Gustav Siemer Dies Monday in Pender

Funeral services were held at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Pender, Nebraska, on Wednesday, January 5th, for Gustav Siemer, 87, who passed away on January 3, 1983 at the Pender Hospital. Reverend Drell Bernhardson officiated and burial was made in the church cemetery.

Gus was born in Bergendorf, Germany on March 13, 1895, to Hendrich and Katrina Siemer. He came to the United States in 1910, and was married to Adele Schroeder at Pender on April 22, 1920.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Herbert of Fort Calhoun; and four daughters, Mrs. Dwight (Norma) Hall of North Platte, Nebraska; Mrs. John (Ember) Arnold of Fort Calhoun; Mrs. Robert (Marlene) Twyford of South Sioux City, Nebraska; and Mrs. Charles (Valdine) Drumm of Omaha. Seventeen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren also survive.
