Woman Found Dead in California

Mary Ann Smith, a one-time resident of the Blair area, was found dead December 12th in her home near San Francisco. She was believed to have died December 10th.

Information about Mrs. Smith was not complete, there being no relatives in this area. She is reported to have moved from Blair about 25 years ago. She was believed to be 63.

She is survived by three sons, William Smith, of Ashland, California, is accompanying his mother’s body to Blair for burial in the Blair cemetery. The other sons are Richard and Joseph, but their addresses were not available as this dispatch was prepared.

Burial will be made in the Blair Cemetery today, Monday, under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home. The service will be a committal at the cemetery. There will be no formal service.
