Hulda Borgelt, 95

Hulda Borgelt, 95, of Blair died Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, at Good Shepherd Village in Blair.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Fremont.

Hulda Suhr was born May 26, 1915, on a farm near Utica to Fred and Johanna (Finke) Suhr. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Utica.

She moved with her family to Fremont where she found employment at Miles Greenhouse.

On July 9, 1935, she married Fred Borgelt at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. They farmed in the Kennard area for several years. After retiring from farming, they moved to Blair.

Mrs. Borgelt was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair, where she was active in several of the church ministries.

She was a wonderful cook and made the best apple pie and fried chicken. She loved shopping, going to garage sales, traveling, gardening, and fishing.

She is survived by a son, Robert, of Blair; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marian and Milo Jeppesen of Decatur, and LaDonna and Eldon Bucy of Tekamah; 13 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; five sisters and four brothers.

Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
