J. P. Mullin Died Friday

Services Held Monday for 87 Year Old Retired Farmer

Funeral services were held this (Monday) morning for James P. Mullin, 87 years of age, who died Friday at Memorial Community Hospital.

The services were held at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, Father Patrick Nolan officiating, with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Mr. Mullin is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Robert E. Kane (Frances) of Nogales, Arizona, and Mrs. James Dunn (Mary) of South Bend, Indiana, and five grandchildren.

Mr. Mullin was born August 5, 1876 at Salem, Mass., the son of Patrick and Johanna Mullin. The family homesteaded near O’Neil, Nebr., and moved to Washington County when Mr. Mullin was a small boy. They farmed in the New England school district.

Mr. Mullin married Adda Sutherland in 1905. They farmed until they retired and moved to Blair in 1942. Mrs. Mullin died in 1958. A son, James, preceded his father in death.

Pallbearers were Howard Thompson, John Sully, John Leehy, Frank Cope, Bernard Thompson and Francis Mehrens.

The Bendorf Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
