Dennis M Mundorf, 57

Funeral services for Blair native Dennis M. Mundorf, 57 of Omaha, were held on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2000, at Sunset Hills Baptist Church.

Mr. Mundorf died on Oct. 19, 2000 in Omaha. Interment was at West Lawn Cemetery.

Dennis M. Mundorf was born on May 25, 1943, to Willus and Bernice Mundorf.

He was raised in Blair and graduated from Blair High School.

For most of his life, he worked for Western Electric, a division of what is now Lucent Technologies. After retiring, Mr. Mundorf went out on the open road, driving for several companies in the Omaha area.

After battling an illness, he died at his home, in the arms of his best friend and wife of 25 years, Dianna. Mr. Mundorf spent his last days on earth surrounded by his family and friends, sharing tears and laughter.

He is survived by his wife, Dianna; parents, Willus and Bernice Mundorf of Blair; daughters, Jackie and Fred Heinssen Jr. of Blair, and Jill Mundorf of Blair; Dennis and Gary Newman of Lincoln, and Richard and Shelly King of Oregon; six grandchildren; sisters, Linda and George Briggs of Herman, and Carol Sparks of Lawrence, Kan., and a brother, Steve Mundorf of Atlantic, Iowa; five nieces and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Mundorf.

Memorials are suggested to Focus on the Family, and St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
