Services Held For George Mundorf Saturday

Funeral services were Saturday, January 8, at Campbell Funeral Home for George W. Mundorf, 89, of Blair who died January 6, 1983, at Good Shepherd Home.

The Rev. Owen Wilmot conducted the services. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.

George W. Mundorf was born August 6, 1893, in Herman to Zachery and Elsena Johnson Mundorf. The family lived on a farm north of Herman. When he was 13 his father died and the family moved to Blair.

He worked at the City Electric Plant, Collar Factory and alter farmed. After farming, he moved to Blair and purchased a restaurant. He later speculated in buying and selling cattle.

He married Syrilda Short in Omaha in 1915. She survives.

He was preceded in death by five sisters, two brothers and one half-brother.

Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. A. L. (Ardelle) Moulder, Craig, Nebraska; Mrs. Charles (Lorraine) Taylor, Schuyler, Nebraska; and one son, Willus Mundorf, Atlantic, Iowa. Eleven grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Pallbearers were Dennis Mundorf, Gary Mundorf, Harlan Miller, Steve Mundorf, Dennis Mundorf, Jr., and Joey Walter.

Clare Cowing was organist. Homer Nielsen was vocalist.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
