Harry Mundorf, a well-known early day resident of Washington and Burt counties, in the neighborhood of Herman, and New England settlement, died at the home of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Z. T. Mundorf, in this city last Sunday morning after a brief illness. Deceased was born in Pennsylvania Oct. 29th, 1840 and in 1860 he was married to Miss Elizabeth Thomas near Kirkwood, Ill., where he had come with his parents from Pennsylvania at three years of age, and three children, two sons and one daughter all surviving, were born to them. Nine years after marriage his wife died. Five brothers are still living, three of whom were present at the funeral which was held at one o’clock Wednesday.

Peter Harrison Mundorf died at the home of Mrs. Z. T. Mundorf at 7:45 Sunday morning of heart trouble and the funeral was held at 1 o’clock yesterday, Rev. C. M. Foreman officiating. Mr. Mundorf was born in York Furnace, Pa., Oct. 29th, 1840, and would have been 79 years of age this coming October. His parents moved to Illinois, when he was a babe of three years and he grew to manhood near Kirkwood. He was married thee to Miss Elizabeth Thomas in 1860 and three children were born to them. W. M. and N. K. Mundorf, of Craig, Neb. and Mrs. E. L. Riley, of Charles City, Iowa. His wife died in 1869, only nine years after their marriage. He lived in eastern Iowa for a time, coming to this county in 1864, and has made his home here and in Burt county since. He is survived by five brothers, Z. T. being the first one to pass over. Eli makes his home at Burkett, G. L. at Griswold, Ia., O. K. at Craig, Neb., I. F. lives in New Jersey and R. R. at Clay Centre, Neb. All were present except the two brothers last named and the daughter.
