Services for Donald G. Totten of Nickerson who died July 30, 1991 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont were Saturday, August 3 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Scott Postlewait of Salem Lutheran Church in Fontanelle officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
Donald G. Totten was born March 24, 1916 at Fremont to Glester and Cora Frantz Totten.
He lived in the Nickerson area all his life. He worked at George A. Hormel & Co. in Fremont until retiring in 1971.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 3215 in Blair.
He married Verna Wendt May 15, 1939 at Tekamah.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert.
He is survived by his wife, Verna; two sons, Richard Totten of Nickerson and Steven Totten of Fremont; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Michael Totten, Gary Totten, Dennis Totten, Elmer Voss, Howard Voss, Maynard Speas and Herb Jaeger.
Esther Langhorst was organist. Nick Janssen was soloist.
Moser Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
