Mrs. T. C. T. Munk died at the Blair hospital at 8:30 Monday morning of heart trouble, having been ill only about a week. For the past three years she has made her home with her son, Louis, who lives on a farm 3 ½ miles southwest of town. The body was taken out there and a short service will be held at the house, probably at 1 o’clock today, to be followed by a service at the Danish church at 2 o’clock, Rev. L. H. Kjoeller officiating. Karen Madsen was born in Vorde, Denmark, Feb. 5th, 1843, and was therefore approaching her 74th birthday. She came to America in 1870 and was married to T.C.T. Munk in Omaha the same year. They made their home in Dodge county for ten years, spent nine years on a farm in Burt county, near Craig and moved onto the farm Louis now occupies in 1891. Mr. Munk died in 1900. She leaves four sons, Chris, of Heartwell, Neb., Anton, of Cozad, Neb., Louis and Miller. Also one sister, Mrs. Anna M. Steffenson, of Washington, Neb.

(OBITUARY) 8 Nov 1916

Mrs. Peter Munk died at the Blair hospital, Monday, Nov. 6, after a short illness, the immediate cause of her death being heart trouble. She was past seventy years of age.

Since the death of her husband, she has made her home with her son, Louie, who lives on a farm west of town.

She leaves four sons to mourn her loss: Anton, of Cozad, Neb., Chris, of Hartwell, Neb., Louie and Miller of Blair, all of whom are present for the funeral. She leaves also a sister, Mrs. Mary Steffensen, of Washington, Neb.

The funeral services are being held from the Louie Munk home today, (Wednesday) at 1 P.M. and from the Danish church in Blair at 2 P.M., Rev. Kjoller officiating. Interment will be made in the Blair cemetery.
