Billy Barclay, 79

Funeral services were Saturday, May 26 at the Herman United Methodist Church for Billy Barclay, 79, who died on May 23, 1990 at the Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Bill Falk Barclay was born September 21, 1910 in Seattle, Washington. As a child he moved with his parents to Lincoln, Nebraska. There he graduated from Lincoln High School and attended the University of Nebraska.

In 1941 he married Helen Niederkruger of Lincoln.

During World War II, he served in the Army for a period of four years with the 12th Armored Division in England, France and Austria. After his discharge from military service, he farm¬ed for several years in the Spiker area.

In 1956, he returned to his former position with the Ceco Corporation in Chicago. In 1958, he was transferred to Kansas City, where he was district credit manager until his retirement in 1975.

At that time he and his wife moved to their present home in Herman. He was a member of the Jackson-Peck Post No. 227 of the American Legion in Herman, and a member of the Herman United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Helen of Herman, and daughter Linda of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
