BLAIR YOUTH KILLED IN VIRGINIA WRECK

William Francis Shelton, son of Murray Shelton, of Ft. Calhoun and Mrs. Ruth Reynolds of Council Bluffs, Iowa was killed early Sunday morning in a one-car accident near Charlottesville, Virginia. He was 21 years old.

Young Shelton was born at Blair December 15, 1943, had served in the United States Navy and had been working for some time with the American Telephone and Telegraph Co. as an electronics engineer.

He is survived by his father and mother and by two sisters and a brother. The sisters are Mrs. Vici Class of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Jeanette Shelton of Ft. Calhoun. The brother is Rayce Reynolds of Council Bluffs.

A grandfather, L.D. Winslow, lives in Blair.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Blair with the Rev. William L. Shattuck conducting the service. Burial, under the direction of the Bendorf Funeral Home, was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Ora Pennington, Eugene Reynolds, Jack Colwell, and David, Jerry and Lawrence Winslow.
