SERVICES HELD FRIDAY FOR MARY TRIPLETT

Services were held for Mary Triplett on Friday morning, September 2, 1977, at the First Baptist Church of Herman. She passed away Wednesday, August 31, at the Blair Community Memorial Hospital at the age of 92. The Reverend Walter Millett of Tekamah officiated at the services. Interment was in the Herman Cemetery.

Mary Triplett was born March 10, 1885, in Denmark, the youngest of seven children of Rasmus and Anna Kruse. She came to the United States in 1899 at the age of fourteen and settled in the Herman community. She was united in marriage to Ray Triplett on January 7, 1905. Nine children were born to this union.

She was a lifetime resident of the Herman community. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church and its guild for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; her parents, brothers and sisters; one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter.

She is survived by four sons, Elzy Triplett, Harold Triplett and Howard Triplett, all of Tekamah; and Floyd Triplett of Blair; and five daughters, Mrs. Roscoe (Anne) Barton of Sun City, Arizona; Mrs. Alice Lamb of Blair; Mrs. Helen Wittig of Omaha; Mrs. Charles (Marion) Brodersen and Mrs. Marvin (Donna Rae) Jordan of Herman. Twenty-six grandchildren, forty-eight great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and numerous friends also survive her.

Mrs. Eugene Husk of Herman was the organist at the services.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Jeff Jordan, Rick Triplett, John Brodersen, Jim Brodersen, Keith Triplett and Kim Triplett.

Hamel and Peck Mortuary were in charge of the arrangements for the services

MRS. MARY TRIPLETT CELEBRATED 90TH BIRTHDAY MARCH 10

Mrs. Mary Triplett celebrated her 90th birthday on Monday, March 10, 1975. Mrs. Triplett’s children and relatives were present for the birthday party in her honor Monday afternoon in her home. Among relatives who attended the 90th birthday party were: Mr. and Mrs. Howard Triplett; Mr. and Mrs. Elzy Triplett; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Triplett of Tekamah; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wittig of Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Triplett and Mrs. Alice Lamb of Blair; Mrs. Jim Walker and Chris of Hooper; Mrs. Clara Kruse, Mrs. Marvin Jordan and Jeff; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brodersen; Mr. and Mrs. John Brodersen, Ann and Mary.

Many friends were also present at the birthday party. Mrs. Mary Triplett has lived in the Herman community for over 70 years.
