Barbara J. Campbell, 79, died Aug. 19, 2014. She was a 29-year resident of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

Barbara was born in Missouri Valley, Iowa, in 1935 and graduated high school from Mondamin, Iowa, in 1953. She was a resident of Blair from1962 to 1985 and graduated from Dana College in Blair in 1963.

Barbara worked for Mohave Community College in Lake Havasu City, directing students to the completion of their General Educational Development (GED) and Certificate of High School Equivalency.

After retiring from MCC, Barbara developed a nondenominational children’s puppet show and performed at area churches in Lake Havasu City.

She is survived by her daughter, Pamela Campbell of Bullhead City, Ariz.; and Jerry Campbell of Olathe, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carroll and Besse Gillette Griffis; and her son, J. Carroll Campbell.

Barbara will be laid to rest, next to her son, J. Carroll Campbell. A memorial service will be at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Friday, Sept. 26, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Blair Cemetery will immediately follow the service.
