REX R. CUSHMAN, 74

EARNED 5 MILLION MILES SAFE DRIVING CERTIFICATE

Rex R. Cushman, 74, of Arlington, died Sept. 8, 2010, at the Fremont Area Medical Center.

No public viewing or funeral will be held. Instead, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Rex Richard Cushman was born Dec. 18, 1935, in Herman to Margaret Marie “Mamie” (Stroh) and Thomas Randal Cushman.

He grew up and went to school in Blair.

On Sept. 26, 1957, he married Arlene Ehrhardt.

His greatest joy was in his family, and his greatest pride in accomplishment was his 5 million miles certificates for safe driving.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene; two sons, Thomas R. of Texas and Rocky R. and special friend, Toni K. Gibson of Montana; one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Luis Young of Costa Rica; two granddaughters, Becky and husband Nathan Budden of Bellevue and Mildred (Milee) Young; two great-grandchildren, Nathan Budden, Jr. and Alice Budden; a sister, Cora Maw of Riverside, Calif.; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and six brothers.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
