Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon for George Martin Christensen, 80 year old Blair man who died at his home early Tuesday.
Mr. Christensen was born in Washington County October 14, 1879 and spent all of his life in this area. For many years he farmed, later moving to Blair to retire.
He is survived by his wife, Annie and by four sons and three daughters. The sons are Henry Christensen, of LaSalle, Colorado; William Christensen of Blair; Oliver Christensen of Union, Illinois and Howard Christensen of Omaha. The daughters are Mrs. Mabel Nelson of Omaha, Mrs. Hazel Gregerson of Herman and Mrs. Ruby Chapman of Blair.
Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rex Bear officiating. Interment, under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary, will be made in the Prairie View Cemetery in Washington.
Grandsons of the deceased man will serve at pallbearers.
