HANS ED CHRISTENSEN, RETIRED BLAIR FARMER BURIED TUESDAY

Hans Ed Christensen, 67, well known retired Blair farmer of 511 West Washington St., died Friday night at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. He had been ill the past 15 months.

The body was removed to the Campbell Mortuary.Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at First Lutheran Church, the Rev. Theo. Jensen officiating. Interment followed in Blair Cemetery.

Native of Denmark, Mr. Christensen was born Jan. 18, 1885, at Slagelse, Sjalland, and was married as a young man to Karen Margetthe Hansen. The couple with their first three children came to the United States in 1918 and settled south of Blair, their home for many years. Three more children were born to them here, but two died in infancy.

Mr. Christensen retired from farming in 1946 and in March 1951, moved to Blair with his wife to 511 West Washington St.

Surviving Mr. Christensen are wife, Karen; two sons, Harold E. and Tage Christensen; and two daughters, Mrs. Elmer Betts (Harriett) and Mrs. Robert Jahnel (Venda). All are Blairites. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and on great-grandson. There are two brothers living in Denmark.
