Services for Harlan Christensen, age 75 of Kennard who died at his residence May 10, 1992 will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 13 at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard, with burial in the Kennard Cemetery. A prayer service will be held 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.

Harlan C. Christensen was born on January 25, 1917 at Washington, Nebraska, to Jorgen and Anna Johnson Christensen. He attended the Washington and Kennard Schools. He served in the Air Force during World War II.

He married June Rosenbaum. She preceded him in death. In 1957 he married Irma Rosenbaum in Kennard.

For over 30 years he owned and operated the Kennard Feed & Produce, retiring in 1981.

He was very active in Kennard Civic affairs. He served on the city board; cared for the cemetery for over 30 years; and was a member of the Kennard Fire Department; member and past commander of the Kennard American Legion; and a member of the Arlington Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, June; and brother Rupert and one sister, Inez Christensen.

He is survived by his wife, Irma; children, Sharon Arp, Fremont and Bill Rosenbaum, Omaha; seven grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Campbell-Amen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Note: He is buried in Blk 4 Lt 7 Sp 4. Also his name is Harlan Elmer not C as above shown.
