WILLIAM S. TRISDALE, 80

William S. Trisdale, 80, of Blair, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 21, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Burial of his cremains will be held at a later date in the Blair Cemetery. No visitation will be held.

William “Bill” S. Trisdale was born May 1, 1928, in Nashville, Tenn. to Bert and Louwillie (Staggs) Trisdale.

He married Margaret Stricklett on July 20, 1947 in Blair.

Mr. and Mrs. Trisdale operated the Blair Florists and Greenhouse in Blair for 56 years. He also owned and operated Mr. T’s Bar from 1981 to 1984.

He was an active member of the community, and served on many boards and committees. He was formerly president of the Blair Community Credit Union; chairman of the First Christian Church Board; a Blair City Council member; and a member of the Blair Park Board. He was a member of First Christian Church; the Nebraska Florists Association; the Blair Masonic Lodge; and the Blair Kiwanis Club.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Kaye Trisdale, and Robert and Cindy Trisdale; and a daughter-in-law, Linda Trisdale, all of Blair; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; son Randall; granddaughter, Carly; and brother, Bert.

TRISDALE - - William, age 80, of Blair. Bill and his (wife) Margaret operated the Blair Florists and Greenhouse in Blair for several years. They were members of the Nebraska Florists Association. He is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Kaye, Robert and Cindy, daughter-in-law, Linda Trisdale, all of Blair; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Margaret, son Randall, granddaughter, Carly and brother, Bert.
