Earl William Murray, 66, of Missouri Valley, Ia., died Wednesday, Nov. 16, 1988 in a car accident near Council Bluffs, Ia.

Mr. Murray was a veteran of World War II where he was in the number two company, 1351, Infantry and served in Europe. He was wounded in Italy and received the Purple Heart.

Earl was a member of V.F.W. Post No. 6256 in Missouri Valley.

Mr. Murray worked as a contractor in home and commercial heating and refrigeration.

Earl Murray is survived by his wife Freda; two sons; James of Logan, Ia., and Ronald of Missouri Valley. He is also survived by two daughters, Roma Beebe of Blair and Kathleen Michael of Missouri Valley. He is survived by 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; three sisters, JoAnne Evers of Little Sioux, Ia., Phyliss Clapper of Thurman, Ia., and Dorothy Parks of Sacramento, Ca.

Services were held Monday, Nov. 21 at the Church of Christ in Missouri Valley. The Rev. Ken Cooper officiated and burial was in the Little Sioux Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Hennessey-Van Cleave-Hurley of Missouri Valley.
