James A. Murray, 93

Funeral services were Wednesday, September 27 at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel for James A. Murray, 93 of Arbor Manor in Fremont, who died September 23, 1989 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County. Rev. Richard O’Donnell officiated.

Graveside services were at Forrest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha.

James A. Murray was born November 29, 1895 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He lived there as a child. He moved to Fremont from Omaha in 1950. He was employed by the Omaha Public Power District and retired in 1960.

He married Ella Papez. She preceded him in death. He married Vera Tripp. She also preceded him in death.

He married Josephine Johnson Rowe March 22, 1950. She preceded him in death on April 13, 1982.

He was a member of the First Christian Church, the American Legion Post of Benson and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a World War I veteran.

Survivors include a son, Rolland Murray of Michigan City, Indiana; three step-sons, Robert Rowe of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Raymond Rowe of O’Neill and Ronald Rowe of Rockville, Maryland; two daughters, Mrs. Angelo (Marie) LaPuzza and Mrs. Edwin (Marjorie) Herman, both of Omaha; a step-daughter, Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Monke of Arlington; a brother, Howard Murray of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Loie Cook of Cedar Falls, Iowa, and Nellie Capen of Plattsmouth; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Ludvigsen Mortuary handled the arrangements.
