Russell R. Musick, 84, of Blair, died Saturday, May 5, 2007, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 9, at the Blair First United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Russell Robert Musick was born Dec. 6, 1922, in Edgar to Robert and Nellie Musick.

He graduated from Hastings High School, and attended Hastings College both before and after serving in World War II. He was a veteran of the World War II invasions and occupations of the Philippines and Okinawa.

Mr. Musick and his wife, Madelyn, were married March 16, 1947, and recently celebrated their 60th anniversary.

He managed the J. M. McDonald store in Blair for many years and was active in his church and community, including the First United Methodist Church, the Crowell Memorial Home Board, the Blair Public Library Board, was a Bible study leader, a Cub Scoutmaster, and was a member of the Washington County Genealogical Society.

He is survived by his wife, Madelyn; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Cynthia of Lenexa, Kan., Mark and Susan of Lincoln, James and Karla of Blair; a daughter, Marilyn, of Kearney; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Moreland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church or the Blair Public Library.
