Alvin C. Sprau, 58

Alvin C. Sprau, 58, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at his home in Fort Calhoun.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20 at the Fort Street Christian Church in Omaha. Interment will be at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun.

Alvin Charles Sprau was born Dec. 23, 1946, in Omaha to Warren and Marjorie Sprau. He was a member of the North American Fishing Club.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Ray and Julie Sprau of Blair, Donnie Sprau, also of Blair, and Jesse Sprau of Fort Calhoun; daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Doug Rawls of Blair; step-children, Tim and Angie Miller of Omaha, Kari and Ron Welchert of Omaha, Jennifer and George Taylor of Fort Calhoun, and Anthony and Kim Miller of Columbus; long-time companion, Rozanne Miller of Fort Calhoun; Becky Sprau of Fort Calhoun; sister, Sharon Richensen of Port St. Lucie, Fla., brothers and sister-in-law, Donnie Sprau of Brainard, Minn., and Bobby and Barb Sprau of Blair; 21 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
