Service Held For Rev. Myers

Funeral services for the Rev. Joseph C. Myers, pastor of Emmaus Lutheran Church of Kennard and Immanuel Lutheran Church of Orum from 1972-76, were held Wednesday, August 17, at Abiding Peace Lutheran Church, Kansas City, Missouri. He died August 15, 1983, after a long illness.

The Rev. Karen Lundwall, Abiding Peace pastor elect, presided over the service of holy communion. The Rev. Bishop Wayne Weissenbuehler preached the funeral sermon. Interment was by cremation with the ashes to be scattered near Pastor Myers’ boyhood home in Washington State.

He is survived by his children and his wife, Ruth, of Kansas City, Missouri.
