MARILYN TROXELL, 74

Marilyn Troxell, 74, of Blair, died Wednesday, July 27, 2005. No funeral services are planned.

Marilyn Troxell was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa., where she grew up studying ballet and dancing professionally prior to meeting her husband, Randy Troxell Jr. After marrying, the couple moved to Miami, Fla., where they raised three sons.

The Troxell family had the unique opportunity to live out of the country. Marilyn’s husband Randy, accepted a post with the State Department in Addis Adaba, Ethiopia, where the family lived for four years. After completion of the assignment, they returned to Miami, where they lived for the next 30 years, and ultimately retired in New Smyrna Beach, Fla.

Mrs. Troxell and her husband, who died March 25, 2005, had moved to Blair in 2001 to live with and be cared for by their son and daughter-in-law, Randy III and Andrea Troxell.

Mrs. Troxell is also survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Leslie Troxell and their children of California; son, Kevin C. Troxell of New York; a granddaughter and great-granddaughter.
