SERVICES FOR LOLA TRUHLSEN HELD MONDAY

Funeral services for 81 year old Lola M. Truhlsen were held on Monday, January 22, at the Herman Methodist Church. Mrs. Truhlsen died on Friday, January 19th, at the Crowell Home in Blair.

Rev. Barbara Schenkel officiated with the Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements with burial in the Herman Cemetery.

Lola Marshall was born May 5, 1897 near Arlington, Nebraska, the daughter of Robert and Mollie Marshall. The family moved to a farm just outside of Lincoln in 1907.

She was united in marriage to Henry Truhlsen of Herman, Nebraska in 1919, and has lived in Herman since that time. Her husband passed away in 1970 after a long illness.

Mrs. Truhlsen joined Eastern Star in 1920 and was Worthy Matron in 1937 and has been a member of Past Matrons since its inception. She was a charter member of the Herman American Legion Auxiliary and served as president and secretary.

Mrs. Truhlsen is survived by three children, eleven grandchildren, three great-granddaughters and one brother. The children are Dr. Stanley Truhlsen, Omaha; Mrs. Max (Joan) Johns of Charles City, Iowa; Mrs. John (Marion) Holmes of Greeley, Colorado. The brother is Wilber Marshall of Windom, Minnesota.

The pallbearers were: Harold Hancock, Paul Hancock, Alton Jensen, Terry Andrew, Jack Ericksen and Eugene Husk.
