PETER TRUHLSEN DIES AT AGE OF 92

Mr. Peter F. Truhlsen passed away last Thursday, August 12th at the Blair Community Hospital. He had been in the hospital for the past three weeks after a fall and breaking his arm.

Mr. Truhlsen was born in Germany, March 28th, 1873 and came to Washington County with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Truhlsen at the age of one year.

On February 23, 1898 he was married to Christine Reeh. They were the parents of three sons and one daughter.

Elmer Truhlsen is the only surviving member of the immediate family.

Mr. Truhlsen farmed until after his wife passed away in 1943. He has made his home with his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Truhlsen since that time.

Five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren also survive, and one brother, Henry Truhlsen of Herman.

Funeral services were held at the Bendorf Funeral Home at 2 P.M. Saturday, August 14th. The Rev. George Pallesen officiated and burial was in the Blair Cemetery.
