Raymond E. Farrens, 66

Services are Friday, August 11 at 10:00 a.m. at Rozanek Colonial Funeral Home in Arlington for Raymond E. “Eddie” Farrens, 66 who died August 7, 1989, in Auburn, California at Auburn Faith Community Hospital. Rev. Tom Shaw will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, August 10, from 3-9 p.m. at the funeral home and Friday, August 11, from 8-10 a.m. Burial will be in the Arlington Cemetery with military graveside services.

Raymond E. Farrens was born October 10, 1922, at Ord, Nebraska. As a child he moved to Omaha before moving to Arlington. He lived in the Arlington-Fremont area until moving to California several years ago. He lived at Newcastle, California, at the time of his death.

He drove truck for Bell Creek of Arlington until his retirement.

He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Arlington Veterans of Foreign Wars No 8332.

He married Edna Campbell on May 11, 1946. She preceded him in death on September 10, 1984.

He is survived by a daughter and her husband, Diana and Robert Murray, Newcastle, California; and a son, Dale Farrens, Sacramento, California. Brothers, Paul Farrens, Los Angeles, Milo Farrens, LaPine, Oregon, and Jerry Farrens, Coos Bay, Oregon; sisters, Pat Douglas, Woodland, California, Dorothy Gleason, Mills, Wyoming, and Doris Bristolstein, Sublimity, Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews also survive him.

Rozanek Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for the services.
