RONALD TUCCITTO, 54

Ronald M. Tuccitto, 54 of Omaha, died Friday, Feb. 27, 1998, near U. S. Highway 370 and Interstate 80, near Gretna, as a result of a vehicle accident.

Services were Tuesday at Brewer-Korisko Chapel in Omaha. Rev. Sodoro officiated. Burial was in St. John’s Cemetery in Omaha.

Mr. Tuccitto was born Sept. 17, 1943 at Omaha. He was raised in Omaha and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He married Evelyn Hospodka. He worked for more than 30 years for Union Pacific. After his retirement, he worked for the state of Nebraska. He was a pioneer in Midwest rock and roll music, founding some of Omaha’s first rock bands in 1956. He performed locally for more than 15 years with his band, “The Mob” which at the present time included Mike Semrad and Jeff Forsberg of Fremont and George Bryan of Omaha.

Survivors are his wife, Evelyn; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ronald Tuccitto and Matthew and Adora Stone, all of Omaha; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jay Anderson of Blair; his mother, Elizabeth Tuccitto of Omaha; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dick and Barb Tuccitto and Ross and Debbie Tuccitto, all of Omaha and three grandchildren.
