Mrs. Sam Nelson

Mrs. Sam Nelson*, an old and respected citizen of Blair, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Anderson, of Kennard on Monday evening, Nov. 1. Mrs. Nelson had been in poor health for some time and recently moved with her family, to Kennard, to be near her daughter.

Her family consists of three daughters, Mrs. Chas. Anderson, Miss Amelia who teaches the Johnson school, Miss Lydia, a blind daughter at home, and a son, Luther, who has attained his majority. The funeral will be held from the Danish church, in Blair, on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m.; Rev. Kjoller officiating. Interment in the Blair cemetery.

Mrs. Nelson Passes Away

Mrs. Nelson*, widow of Sam Nelson, who conducted a barber shop here in Blair for a number of years, twenty-five or thirty years ago, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Anderson, at Kennard, last Monday, the 1st. inst. Mrs. Nelson had continued to make her home in this city, in Dexterville addition, since her husband’s death, surrounded by her children, three daughters, Mrs. Chas. Anderson, now of Kennard, Lydia, who is blind and Amelia, a school teachers, and one son, Luther, who has brown to man’s estate, until she required the loving care of her married daughter, when the family moved to Kennard.

The funeral was held at the Danish Lutheran Church in this city, Rev. Mr. Lang, officiating, the burial being by the side of her husband in the Blair cemetery.
