Willliam Nelson Is Buried In Albion

Funeral services for William A. (Bud) Nelson 77, who died suddenly at his home Sunday, July 5, 1981, were held Wednesday, July 8, at Zion Immanuel Lutheran Church at Albion, Nebraska.

Rev. Larry Spomer conducted the services.

William A. Nelson was born March 6, 1904, in Albion, Nebraska, to John and Anna Anderson Nelson. He married Edith Loken on August 23, 1929, in Albion.

He attended rural school and graduated from Albion High School in 1923. He farmed for 52 years on the same farm near Albion.

He is survived by his wife, Edith, of Albion; one son, Roger Nelson of Albion; and one daughter, Mrs. Larrie (Norma) Stone of Blair. Seven grandchildren also survive him. His is also survived by four sisters, Hilda Tisthammer and Helga Black of Albion; Selzma Olson of St. Edward; and Grace O’Brien of Milwaukie, Oregon; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and three brothers.

Pallbearers for the service were Harold Tisthammer, Oliver Loken, Pershing Kettelson, Nels Holmberg, William Schroeder and John Tisthammer.

Honorary Pallbearers were Marvin Melland, Sever Paulson, Herman Schmadeke, Farrell Johnson, Bernard Mikelson, and George Christo, Sr.

Laurel Tisthammer was the organist. Janice Tisthammer and Linda Spomer were vocalists.

Levander Funeral Home in Albion was in charge of the services.
