Gertrude Bailey (Mrs. Arthur Bailey)

Gertrude B. White was born in Tekamah, Nebraska, April 14, 1879, and died at the M.E. Hospital in Omaha on January 5, 1925.

Deceased was married to Mr. Ar¬thur Bailey, a former Blair boy on May 26, 1910 and to them one child a boy, Arthur Bardwell Bailey now thirteen years old was born.

Mr. and Mrs. Bailey resided for a time in Bancroft but of late years have resided in Omaha.

The body was brought to Blair on the 2 o’clock train today and interment was made in the Blair Cemetery.

G. Arthur Bailey’s wife died at a hospital in Omaha Monday night following an operation that day. The body will be brought here on the 2 o’clock train tomorrow, Thursday afternoon, and then direct to the cemetery for burial on the Bailey lot. She was formerly Miss Gertrude White, a niece of Postmaster White of this city, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. White of Tekamah. Her father is dead and her mother was living with them in Omaha. Besides her husband she leaves an only son, Bardwell White, aged 12 years. Arthur is a son of the late George A. Bailey, and was born and raised here in Blair. He lived in Bancroft for a number of years where he was connected with the Bancroft State bank of which he is still president, though he has made his home in Omaha for some four years past. He has the sincere sympathy of his many Blair friends in his sudden bereavement.
