Mildred Vivian Bailey, 74

Services for Mildred Vivian Bailey, 74 who died November 3, 1992 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha were Saturday, November 7 at First Baptist Church in Tekamah. Rev. Victor Crawford officiated. Burial was in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Mildred Vivian Bailey was born November 17, 1917 in Burke, South Dakota to Ed and Daisy Mayberry Quick. She attended Tekamah Schools and had lived in Tekamah all her adult life.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tekamah.

She married Maxwell Bailey. He preceded her in death on February 22, 1971.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; three sisters. Pearl Bowden, Rita Bailey and Maxine Ransom; three brothers, Floyd Quick, Elmer Quick and Clair Quick; three step-children, Vernon Bailey, Alfred Bailey, Lois Helms and a son-in-law, Roger Nielsen.

She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Jack Bailey of Tekamah and Michael and Regina Bailey of Cumming, Georgia; daughters and sons-in-law, Maxine and Les Ray of Tekamah, Marjorie Nielsen and Eleanor and Blaine Erickson, all of Bennington; Susan and Bob Kennedy of Griffin, Georgia; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and brothers and sister-in-law, Dale and Clarinda Quick of Tekamah and Merle Quick of Philomath, Oregon.

Casket bearers were Steve Ray, Jim Ray, Steve Kobs, Tim Ray, Chris Nielsen and Brian Kennedy. Honorary casket bearers were Greg Erickson, Joel Erickson, Bret Erickson, Kevin Kennedy, Gabriel Vaughan and John Maxwell Bailey.

Carol Bacon was soloist. Nadeen Tippery was accompanist.

Hamel-Peck-Pelan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
