James Christiansen died at his home in north Blair between 12 and 1 o’clock yesterday afternoon of transverse myelitis, having been sick since last November. He was living in Emerson when he was taken sick, and spent several weeks at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Omaha. He came to Blair from there about two months ago and has gradually failed from that time. The funeral will be held at the house at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon. Rev. L. H. Koeller officiating. He was 39 the 15th of last April, and besides the wife, who was formerly Miss Ella Matterson, he leaves one son, Russell, four years of age. Also, two sisters, Annie, of Omaha, and Mrs. Emory Epling, of Lewiston, Idaho, and three brothers, Nels, of Plainview, Neb., Walter, of Park City, Utah, and Donie, of this city. He was a member of the City Council at one time, resigning when he moved just outside of the city limits.

James E. Christensen died at his home in Blair at 12:30 Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 12, 1913 of transverse myelitis after being confined to his bed since Nov. 26, 1912.

James E. Christensen was born in New Jersey, April 15, 1875 and came to Blair with his parents in 1879 and has since resided here. He leaves to mourn his death a wife and one son, and three brothers, Nels of Plainview, Nebr., Antone of Blair, and Walter of Park City, Utah, and two sisters, Anna of Omaha and Mrs. Emery Epling of Lewiston, Idaho.

The funeral will be held from the home Thursday and the remains will be laid to rest in the family lot in the Blair cemetery.

James Christensen died at his home Tuesday noon after suffering several months with transverse myelitis. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon. Deceased was 39 years old and came to Blair with his parents when a little child. For a year previous to his illness he had charge of a section gang out of Emerson. He leaves a wife and one son, three brothers and two sisters.
