Services were Monday, Dec. 16 at the Campbell-Aman Funeral Home for Leonard Christensen, 90 of Blair who died Dec. 13, 1996 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home. Burial was in the Arlington Cemetery.
Leonard Christensen was born Jan. 6, 1906 in Blair to John and Martha Christensen. He attended rural schools in Washington County.
He moved to Chicago in 1925 and lived there until moving back to Nebraska in 1927. He lived in the Omaha, Bennington and Blair areas. He served in the Army during World War II.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington and the Bennington American Legion Post No. 266.
He married Loris Hansen in Council Bluffs, Iowa Sept. 8, 1927. She preceded him in death in 1989.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers, and two sisters.
He is survived by nephews and nieces.
