James C. Fauble, 84

James C. Fauble, 84, of Blair, a Council Bluffs, Iowa, native, died Friday, Nov. 13, 1998, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Beem-Belford Funeral Home in Council Bluffs with the Rev. John Emslie, Jr., of Trinity Lutheran Church, Blair, officiating. Burial will be in Ridgewood Cemetery in Council Bluffs. Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 17, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 8 p.m. at the Beem-Belford Funeral Home Chapel.

James C. Fauble was born Dec. 2, 1913, to Clarence B. and Edith (Whitmore) Fauble in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He was educated in the Council Bluffs Schools.

On Dec. 24, 1939, he married Lillian “Billie” Johnson. The couple lived in Council Bluffs and later moved to California. He worked as a building engineer for the Sheraton Hotel in Crestline, Calif. The couple moved to Blair, where they had lived for 11 years.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian, of Blair; one daughter, Sandra (Mrs. Donald) Hinman of Blair; three sisters, Helen Caughey of Blue Hill and June Prior and Zoru Swain of Lynn Haven, Fla.; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair.

Beem-Belford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
