Elna F. Goracke, 93

Elna F. Goracke, 93, of Fremont, died early Sunday morning, Sept. 21, 2014, at Arbor Manor in Fremont. The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, at Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Dr. David Coe officiating. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be at Ludvigsen Mortuary on Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Elna was born June 5, 1921, on the family farm near Arlington to Leonard and Esther (Scheer) Echtenkamp.

Elna was married on August 20, 1938, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church north of Arlington to Loren Goracke. She has lived most of her married life in Fremont.

Elna was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is survived by son Garry and wife Linda Goracke of Fremont; daughter Diane Nevius of Fremont; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brother Earl and wife Elaine Echtenkamp of Fremont.

Elna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandchild, a great-grandchild, two sisters, a brother and her son-in-law, Richard Nevius.

Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church.
