ARDIS LORRAINE TUTTLE, 80

Ardis Lorraine Tuttle, 80, of Blair, died Monday, July 12, 1999, at Blair Memorial Community Hospital after a brief illness.

Services were Wednesday, July 14, at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Burial was in the Tekamah Cemtery.

Ardis Lorraine Tuttle was born Nov. 26, 1918 in Lyons. The daughter of William and Harriet (Russell) Lilly, she attended school in Lyons and graduated from Lyons High School.

On June 2, 1936, she married Bern Tuttle and the couple owned and operated a greenhouse in Lyons for a number of years.

The couple moved to Kingsley, Iowa for a time and worked in the dairy business and then moved to York, where Ardis worked as a housemother at Epworth Village and later as a nutritionist at the York Hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Bern; son and daughter-in-law, Lanny and Shirley Tuttle of Oskaloosa, Iowa; daughter and son-in-law, C. Laraine (Lori) and Larry Riggs of Stevens Point, Wisc.; grandchildren, Mark and his wife, Janet Tuttle, Brad Riggs, and Kristine and her husband, Paul DeKeersgieter; two great-grandchildren, Matt and Bekah Tuttle; and brother, Donald and his wife, Agatha Lilly of Sun City, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Leith and Kenneth Lilly.

Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church in Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair was in charge of arrangements.
