GEORGE S. TUTTLE, 82

George S. Tuttle, 82, died on Nov. 1, 1988 at his home in Blair.

George Tuttle was born on July 18, 1906 in Nary, Minnesota to John and Edith (Rogers) Tuttle. He attended school in Minnesota and moved to South Dakota in May of 1925. He moved to Blair in May of 1981. Mr. Tuttle worked as a livestock trucker.

George was united in marriage to Garnet Scherer in Geddes, S. D., on Dec. 26, 1935. She survives him.

Other survivors include two sons, Chuck of Blair, and G. Bruce of Omaha; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren.

George is also survived by four brothers, Harold of Langley, Washington; Leslie of Freland, Wa.; John of Yakima, Wa.; and Richard of Denver, Colorado. He is also survived by three sisters: Clarice Heeren of Grant’s Pass, Oregon; Carol Moon of Anchorage, Alaska; and Dorothy Willson of Brownwood, Tx.

George was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Melvin, Lyle, Ray, Robert, and Stanley.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Tekamah Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Campbell Funeral Home in Blair.
