BERNARD TWOREK, 77

Mass of Christian Burial for Bernard Tworek, 77 of Blair, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2002, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. A private family interment will be held in the Holy Cross Cemetery in Blair. Mr. Tworek died Saturday, June 8, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Bernard J. Tworek was born May 15, 1925 in Columbus to Alex and Victoria (Swantek) Tworek.

On Aug. 7, 1948, he married Luella Weber in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Mr. Tworek was the maintenance engineer at St. Bernard Catholic Church and School in Omaha for more than 25 years. He retired in 1990. The Tworeks have lived in the Blair area since 1984. Mr. Tworek was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Luella; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jacqueline and Richard Henderson of Fort Calhoun, and Lynne and Doug Campbell of Cedar Bluffs; three grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Altmanshofer of Omaha, and Celia Bitter of Columbus; a brother, Raymond Tworek of Columbus; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joe, Tony, Louie, and a sister, Elizabeth.

Campbell-Aman Funeral home in Blair was in charge of arrangements.
